I had the privilege to sit down with David Williams, a long time health care strategy consultant who has been writing, speaking, blogging, and podcasting about healthcare innovation for more than 15 years. David has had a longstanding passion for healthcare business and policy which he has parlayed into a career as a healthcare strategy consultant, entrepreneur, and board member. He has also been fairly prolific, having written thousands of posts and recorded hundreds of podcasts on the Health Business Blog since 2005. Most recently, he has been focused on digital health, technology enabled healthcare services, and working with multi-stakeholder collaboratives.

I first met David way back in the early days of Health 2.0 and have checked in with him every several years. I have always found him to be fair, to ask direct questions, and to be very supportive of innovation in the ever changing healthcare landscape. He is also quick witted, knows everyone, and has a wary eye for the hype cycle in healthcare. This interview was particularly fun to do with Jay and the banter was pretty fun.

Good times with old friends with a shared passion for health transformation. Enjoy!
